I must admit that I find it a bit comical that I run a two week commission discount on vehicles and mine gets totaled. It really stole my thunder that this art ([link] ) is currently on sale in this magazine ([link] ) by me right now.
I dragged my sore self to see The Avengers. I have to say that I'm seriously jealous that the Avengers got the best treatment of any comic adaptation I've ever seen. I blame every humorous bit on Whedon's hand on the film.
I have added a few new things to the menu. I've added coloring, the club, and I'm considering adding paneled pages. I've done a few in the past and I usually charge per panel (instead of character, background, etc like other artists) so they tend to fit budgets. People forget I can make pieces go faster and cheaper by omitting things I do. While, yeah, my style includes textures and several layers of color work... that isn't something needed. The Club has been my most enjoyed piece and it's a straight black line piece with an accent colored... usually asked if they want it as a 8x10 so they can print it. If you're interested in a paneled page, just let me know. I'm still considering what the best price would be for the menu.
My daughter is about to turn three in June. It's very weird for me to really consider how radically different she has made my life. In that time, I've managed a very careful balance act of portraying a good father while also keeping things organized. Somehow, which I'll never known, I've also managed to get published a variety of times and only piss off a few people in the creative world. I like to think I've made positive impact over the negative ones I've done. I've got involved with a lot of cool projects and a lot of awesome people in the past three years. RARE March special:Since March, I've turned down a lot of raunchy commissions and hopefully sent them to the proper recommended artists. There's better artists (I've been told it plenty of times) than me that work on erotic pieces.
