Some of you may remember that I did a big Japanese Relief Fund drive earlier in the year. While it did make life a bit harder for awhile (I had donated the entirety of a logo and blog design salary), it warmed my heart to know that these desperate people were getting help. Thanksgiving (for me) has always been about reconnecting. Our lives are giant polarization self obsessed distractions. One thing I was so very thankful for was being able to provide that help earlier this year. For those of you that got commissions from me for the Relief, I want to share this with you. We helped those in need.

The moon has come and gone many times since then. We've had new disasters. We've had new political problems. We've had the entire Occupancy movement. It is easy to forget those in need with the neon lit and family on the mind. Don't get me wrong. If I had a larger family (all the prime people in my life died in 2007 [my father – cancer, my grandfather – heart failure, my grandmother – stroke; my uncle – stroke]) then I would be lost in all the gift giving possibilities.  My inbox was flooded from Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The possibilities now are endless. Nothing is obscure now (think back a decade, you couldn't get nothing for a Doctor Who fan) and the net has made every arts person easy to get to.

Originally, I had decided the Holiday special would be to provide a gift. When you bought a Monty ($35-45) then you got a Smiler ($25-15) for free. I'm not going to scratch that. What I am going to do is offer the ability to instead pay for the Smiler and all that profit to go to donation. That seems more the spirit of the Holiday. If you decide to purchase the free Smiler then all profit from it will go to Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund. It could be that I've seen the effects of Hurricane Katrina and Ike. I know how long it takes for your life to be restored. If you opt to purchase the Smiler then I will also have both pieces mailed directly to you. That's right. I will again be offering the 5x10" piece to be mailed directly to your address as part of this offer. No extra shipping costs required.

What about one character giving the other a present of PENIS? Does that count? :P
