By just the volume of Creator Owned Comic Previews that we've received, we will be making issue 3 a throw-back designed issue.
When I was a tween, I bought a variety of comic guide books. I remember picking everyone of them off the rack when Kirby died to read the interviews and different point-of-views. Then the internet came and Wizard outlasted the rest on the rack. I really want to recapture that childhood experience.
Issue 1 and Issue 2 will be our beginning foundational books. The big gray slab that's issue one is simply that. We're getting things built. Templates. I've sent out a sea of exhibit releases that still haven't came back.
Our publishing date was March 5th tentatively. If we don't go live with it that day then we will a day or two after. I've already created the Feature and a dozen page around it.
Since the magazine is a tear sheet, credit, resume building exhibition, I'm not putting too much concern on use of much color palettes or wild design as of yet. I'm interested in holding it in my hand first.
As previously stated, all who are selected will be provided a digital copy as a pdf. Additional pieces can be bought at the Mag Cloud location.
To recap, Issue 3 will be a Creator Owned Comic Preview exhibit book. I have several pages that I need to finish to include from my own work 'Gray,' which is why this topic has been pushed to the third issue.
